DRUIDALE

Druidale Water Splash (also known as Montpelier Ford) – probably the most famous ford on the Isle of Man. Situated in the middle of moorland, the approach was tricky but fast. It was a well-known feature on numerous car and scooter rallies. Sadly turned into an irish bridge around the early ’80s and rarely wet these days. After a delayed start the ’69 race was abandoned after two laps due to thick mist and heavy rain.
